Dr. Matthew Jourdain
Dr. Matthew Jourdain graduated from the University of Alberta in 2001 with a Degree in the Doctor of Dental Surgery Program, having previously obtained a Bachelor of Science with distinction in the field of Biology from Augustana University College.
Dr. Jourdain started his career as an Associate before opening his own practice in 2006. Since graduating from the University of Alberta, he has obtained advanced education in aesthetic and restorative dentistry, through the Gold Dust Clinical Mastery Series. He has also taken advanced training to be licensed in providing Orthodontic treatment through the International Association for Orthodontics, and is currently a member in good standing.
He is continuously taking seminars to stay current with orthodontic advancements and takes pride in helping people work towards their most beautiful smiles. With an increased knowledge in the field of Orthodontics, Dr. Jourdain developed an interest in Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) treatment and obtained his certification through the TMJ & Sleep Therapy Research program. This allows him to treat craniofacial pain, temporomandibular disorders, sleep breathing disorders, and perform motor nerve reflex testing.
Dr Jourdain is very passionate about Dentistry, and believes in access to care for everyone. He believes it is important to have a balance between a preventative and reactive treatment point of view, and is very straightforward and honest in regards to his treatment recommendations. He is very creative, and has a skill for thinking of unique alternatives to treat patient concerns in a way that makes you leave with a smile. Dr Jourdain is an easy going, family oriented dentist, who is married with two children of his own. In his spare time, he enjoys playing games with his family, going to the movies, and travelling, his favorite place being Disney land. Dr. Jourdain is currently welcoming New Patients to join the Jourdain Dental family.
